Visoglide+ Lift & Slide Doors

Lift and slide doors are ideal for doors that are both wide and tall.
The lift and slide mechanism is built within the door panel and is activated by turning the huge handle 180 degrees, which 'lifts' the door up and off the rollers. It is almost straightforward to slide the door panel into the slightly elevated position, regardless of how large or heavy the glass is. The 'lift & slide' mechanism also allows you to lock the door in an open position, which is useful for large gatherings, children playing in and around the doors, or just wanting to keep the doors locked in place while allowing some ventilation into the space.

Benefits of lift & slide doors...

    Operation without effort

The lift & slide mechanism, as previously said, makes the doors incredibly easy to use and slide. We find that homeowners with small children like the lift and slide option, and that homeowners considering their golden years find the door's simplicity of use tempting for their forever home.

We frequently see entire property elevations taken up by massive sliding doors, and we also have requests for extraordinarily tall doors; lift and slide doors are ideal for these applications. The frames are thicker than those of our other patio door options, however this is compensated for by the vast sizes that lift and slide doors can accommodate.

    Exposed Locations

Lift & slide doors are particularly well suited to exposed locations. The sliding sash is deeper than inline door systems and when the door is closed the gearing collapses on itself securing the door in position and creating an excellent weather seal. We also cloak off all the U channels within all our sliding doors with tread plates to improve the aesthetics of our doors and more importantly to prevent water, dirt and debris building up in the track, so all our patio doors look sleek and benefit from this increased weather protection.

Personalise Your Visoglide+ Lift & Slide Door

Our range of inline sliding doors are industry-leading and still offer a real wow factor within any home. A more traditional method of manufacturing sees us fabricating the door and then glazing it on site. The vertical sightline between the panes of glass is still only 35mm so visitors to our showroom often take one look at this stunning product, feel how well it is made and how easy it is to use, and immediately decide that they’ve found the right product for them.

    Colour Options

Our unrivalled colour range provides the perfect finish for every property. From contemporary urban apartments to traditional Cotswold cottages. With a dedicated paint line, our colour-matched accessories service means your choice of handles and hinges can be finished in any colour to match or contrast with your door.
